    They have no opportunity to break out of the poverty cycle on their own.

  • We are training these people to become tailors, expert pattern masters, capable of making high quality clothing.

  • They are employed in Sow Hopes clothing factories where they earn twice as much as before. Now they have options.

Girl KnittingWe are training people in India to become tailors and expert pattern masters capable of making high quality clothing.  Without training they have no hope of breaking out of the cycle of poverty that they have been condemned to because of the time and place of their birth.  At the conclusion of their training they are employed in our clothing factories.  Now they will earn twice as much as before.  Now they have options.  Now they can send their children to school. Now they have a future.

The clothing factory makes a range of school, sports and corporate uniforms for sale in Australia.  The profits are used to help those we can't directly employ by providing health, housing and education services.

In addition we are training people in the poorest villages in India to knit and crochet.  They are being employed to make quality hand made items such as scarves and beanies which will be sold in boutiques and shops around the world, continuing the vision of Sowing Hope into peoples lives.
